Gasteria is a fabulous houseplant!  Its beautiful, thick leaves and fan-like way of growing complement all types of homes – rustic, modern, hippie, college dorm, etc.

Gasteria can handle low light levels and the soil must be allowed to dry thoroughly between waterings.  Once a month is a good rule to go by.  However, in the hot heat of the summer and especially if gasteria is in a bright sunny window, monitoring the soil is a good bet so that it doesn’t remain in bare bones dry soil for too long.

Its care is easy!  Place anywhere, as it doesn’t require the full sun of most succulents and err on the side of underwatering versus overwatering!

Gasteria can grow to enormous proportions!
