Senecio rowleyanus – String of Pearls

Senecio rowleyanus

(String of Pearls, String of Beads)
This is a great hanging plant, its fast-growing trailing vines are studded with pea-like foliage.  When in flower, the blooms smell like a combination between jasmine and cinnamon.

Care Tips

easy to grow!  Err on the side of neglect with these trailing pearls.

Light:  Light Shade to Full Sun – the best location to choose is a place where Senecio rowleyanus is getting 2-4 hours of direct sun, either morning or afternoon light.

Water:  Allow the soil to dry a bit before watering again.  This plant is drought-tolerant.

Blooms:  White, dandelion looking flowers appear in Fall/Winter and smell wonderful (like a combination between jasmine and cinnamon…mmmm…)
